Strange little animal seen in Discovery Park.

Strange little animal seen in Discovery Park. What is it? It's not a opossum or a rat. It had a short tail like a hamster, long whiskers, small black eyes, round ears, hairless feet with long sharp claws. About 8 inches long from tail to snout. Eating black berry leaves.
